Saturday 26 October saw KN Golf Links celebrate its (1) one year anniversary with the hosting of the now annual Shark Challenge 2019 a format carried over from last year’s grand opening attended by Greg Norman the course designer.
A Titleist demo event started the day’s proceedings with players able to try out some of the latest clubs from their new equipment range, including the T-series irons and woods. After a light lunch 145 participants from across Vietnam ventured out on the acclaimed links to test their skills against both the modern day links layout and weather which provided some testing moments throughout the day. In the end the glory went to Mr. Lee Dong Yoon in the gross division winning with a hard fought score of 78 (+6), Ms Bao Bao triumphed in the ladies division recording an excellent net score of 71 (-1) with the men’s A & B divisions being closely contested as the below result show.

The evening combined the club’s birthday celebrations and prize presentation during which guests looked back on some of the clubs first year highlights from tournaments and achievements the latest of which came only the evening before. Fittingly and in perfect timing KN Golf Links was awarded with the prestigious title of “Best New Course In Vietnam 2019” and recognized amongst “The Top 10 Best Courses In Vietnam 2019” during the Vietnam Golf Magazine annual industry awards held in Hanoi
KN Golf Links, General Manager Simon Mees said “It is hard to believe that we are already celebrating the clubs 1st birthday but what a great year it has been with many amazing highlights, we will continue to work diligently to continue this trend and make sure that KN Golf Links stays at the forefront of the game in Vietnam”
